Zeinab K. Zahid

Associate Attorney

Mrs. Zahid is an Associate Attorney at Matías J. Adrogué, PLLC. Mrs. Zahid graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in May of 2017, and received her law license in November of 2017. Conversationally fluent in Arabic, Mrs. Zahid interned in many different sectors of the law before her current position at Matías J. Adrogué, PLLC. Mrs. Zahid is a member of the American Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, and the American Civil Liberties Union.

Educational Background

Mrs. Zahid attended the University of Houston Law Center and obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence in May 2017. During her time at the University of Houston Law Center, she was involved in many different activities including being a Senior Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of Health Law and Policy, the Treasurer for the Association of Women in Law, a member of the Health Law Organization, a Student Attorney for the Transactional Law Clinic, a Student Attorney and Teaching Assistant for the Mediation Clinic, and a Tutor for a 1L Statutory Interpretation class in 2016. Additionally, Mrs. Zahid completed a 40 Hour Mediation Training Course and a 20 Hour Family Law Mediation Training Course.

Mrs. Zahid was also lucky enough to be the recipient of many scholarships during her time at the University of Houston Law Center, including the Spouses of Houston Barrister’s Scholarship, 2015; the Arab American Cultural and Community Center Scholarship, 2015 & 2016; the Dress for Success Scholarship, 2015 & 2016; the Judge Shearn Smith Scholarship, 2016; the Dress for Success Worldwide Scholarship, 2016; the Judge Mary Bacon Scholarship, 2016; the American Corporate Counsel Scholarship, 2016; the Dean’s Scholarship, Fall 2014, 2015, and 2016; the University of Houston Law Center DelBarto Scholarship, Fall 2014-Spring 2015; and the University of Houston Law Center Most Improved Student Award, Fall 2015.

Before attending the University of Houston Law Center, Mrs. Zahid graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston in December 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature.

Internships

Mrs. Zahid did a variety of internships during her time as a law student, including working as a Legal Intern for Baker Ripley’s Immigration Department (Fall 2017), for the General Counsel of the City of Houston Legal Department (Spring 2017), for Dunbar Harder (Fall 2016), for the University of Texas Medical Branch’s General Counsel (Summer 2016), and working as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Judge Landrum of the 113th Court (Summer 2015).
